Ages 10-12

Director of Majors Softball – Jim LeBlanc

• The major division’s focus is a combination of game strategy, skill-building, and the continued teaching of proper mechanics. Additionally, players focus on some of the finer points of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, baserunning, and pitching that are all very important at this age. This division is exclusively player pitched. Team building, sportsmanship and keeping the game fun are all important components at this age level.  

• The schedule consists of 2 games per week on Tuesday & Thursday and 1 practice, at EGHS fields for home games. The team travels locally in the district to play other towns. The district is comprised of teams from East Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown, Narraganset, and Warwick North.

• Equipment requirements are minimal and generally consist of a softball glove.

• Registration is $150 (Each player receives a team jersey and socks)

• 2024 season begins at the end of April and finishes early June
